As Network of Kurdish Academics, we awarded an honorary prize for the first time last weekend. Recipients of honorary award 2017 are the world-renowned linguistic and cognitive scientist Prof. Dr. Noam Chomsky and the kurdologist Prof. Dr. Cel\u00eel\u00ea Cel\u00eel. It is a great honour that both have accepted to receive the award. Prof. Dr. Cel\u00eel\u00ea Cel\u00eel attended the ceremony personally, Prof. Dr. Noam Chomsky sent a message.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank all participants of the ceremony \u2013 150 guest from politic, science and society attended the ceremony. \u00a0

Our special thanks is extended to all speakers of the event: Prof. Dr. Emra \u0130lg\u00fcn-Birhimeo\u011flu, pedagogue and founding member of Kurd-Akad, Prof. Dr. Kariane Westrheim, educationalist and member of our scientific advisory board, Prof. Dr. Zaradachet Hajo, linguist and long-time chair of Kurdish Writers Association, as well as the HDP MP`s Faysal Sar\u0131y\u0131ld\u0131z and Prof. Dr. Mithat Sancar, legal scholars and member of our scientific advisory board. All of them give the ceremony not only a special touch, but also create central impulses for the further work of our network.

With these impulses, we have to widen the network and professionalize the work.

The positive feedback of the participants has encouraged us to honour from now on every two years academics with exceptional performance in the field of academic research, but also honorary office. The reward of the new academic generation will be in spotlight.
