{"id":154,"date":"2018-01-23T17:03:22","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T16:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wordpress562\/2018\/01\/23\/afrin-201-en\/"},"modified":"2021-04-06T23:11:21","modified_gmt":"2021-04-06T21:11:21","slug":"afrin-201-en","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kurd-akad.com\/?p=154","title":{"rendered":"Statement on the Afrin attacks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/efrin.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kurdish forces, with the help of YPG\/YPJ have weakened ISIS in the Middle East to a great extent.\u00a0 The attack by the Turkish army on the Afrin canton in North Syria will create a new and extensive crisis in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The North Syria Democratic Federation canton of Afrin is a home to many communities, faiths and cultures &#8211; with democratic, ecologic and gender equal principles the communities live peacefully.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Turkey\u2019s attacks will encourage the ethnic and sectarian wars typically seen in the Middle East and discourage the progressive gains in the region. These attacks strengthen the Assad regime as well as creating the danger of re-strengthening fundamentalist Islam.<\/p>\n<p>For hundreds of thousands of refugee within Syria, Afrin was and is still a safe heaven. When late years of immigration waves were just to cease, recent attacks are to start new ones.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, the use of German tanks by the Turkish State in these assaults are highly inappropriate.<\/p>\n<p>There is no need for any new wars in the region, on the contrary.
