This quarter, meetings were held on 11.04, 18.05, 21.06 and 25.06. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
EmPOWERing ANTI-racism focus series\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Three events took place as part of our thematic series: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Diversity Talk „Diversity and Participation: Lived Participation in the Context of Migrant Self-Organisations – Light and Shadow of Summits and Advisory Boards“ with Memet K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7, Chairman of the Federal Immigration and Integration Council, and G\u00fcnay Dar\u0131c\u0131, Executive Director of the Association of Parents from Kurdistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Seminar „Turkish Ultranationalism in Germany“ with Dr. Nikolaus Brauns, journalist and historian <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Seminar „Kurdish protest, Kurdish leader and Kurdish land: Shaping opinions through media language“ with Dastan Jasim, PhD student at GIGA <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Networking meeting on Kurdology \/ Kurdish studies at a university<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
On 13.05.22 we exchanged views with the Kurdish Institutes of Brussels, Germany and Switzerland as well as the Association of Kurdish Teachers in Europe and Yekmal on the topic of Kurdology \/ Kurdish studies at universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mentoring\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
We have decided to tackle the important topic of mentoring and have formed a working group. This group met on 05.04, 25.04 and 31.05. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instagram Talks<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
This quarter we held 4 talks. Our guests were the educational initiative Ferhat Unvar, the member of the Bundestag G\u00f6kay Akbulut, the PhD student \u015eermin G\u00fcven as well as \u0130lyas Isen and Cemil Ko\u00e7giri from the World Music Academy Mainz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mother tongue in focus\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
On 10.09 we will organise an event on the topic of „Language and Identity“ in cooperation with the psycholinguistic laboratories of the Technical University of Dortmund. Detailed information will follow soon. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
