The state is acting with the utmost brutality against people who are standing up for elementary basic rights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guiding slogan of these protests is Jin, Jiyan, Azad\u00ee (Woman, Life, Freedom), which was first declared by the Kurdish women&#8217;s movement in 2006, following the women&#8217;s liberation \/ gender justice oriented paradigm of the freedom movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This slogan, which meanwhile stands for rebellion against patriarchy and for solidarity worldwide, is a thorn in the side of all reactionary forces, including Turkey.
