General meeting of members<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The General Assembly of Members took place on 22 October 2023. We elected a new Executive Board. For the second time in a row, the network is headed exclusively by women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Board meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This took place on 30.11.2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Conference of Kurdish doctors and related professional groups <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The 3rd conference of Kurdish doctors and allied professions took place in Cologne on 21 October 2023. The event was certified by the North Rhine Medical Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Science Caf\u00e9 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This year’s Science Caf\u00e9 took place on 30.12.2023. Dr \u00d6zlem G\u00f6ner from New York University and Ey\u00fcp Doru, co-representative of the DEM Party in Europe, spoke about ‚Postcolonialism and Kurdistan: Interactions, Truths and Contradictions‘. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Prize of Honour <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The reception to award the Kurd-Akad Honorary Prize to Prof. Dr Kariane Westrheim and Prof. Dr Jan \u0130lhan K\u0131z\u0131lhan took place on 16.12.2023. The Solidarity Prize was awarded to former HDP MP Dr \u0130dris Baluken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Social media<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The monthly Instagram Live Talks of the Tea Time series with the Kurd-Akad community continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The MedPolitics Twitter space has also been reactivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mentoring programme <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Our mentoring programme has finally started.
