Executive Committee meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n These took place on 5 April, 16 April and 19 May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Events organised by the Coordination Group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To mark World Health Day on 7 April 2026, the Coordination Group of Kurdish Institutes and Academic Organisations held its second panel discussion entitled \u2018The Anatomy of Peace: Health as a Strategic Imperative\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To mark Constitution Day, the third panel discussion, entitled \u201cThe Law of Peace \u2013 Peace through Law\u201d, took place on 27 August 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Student Advisory Board <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have established a student advisory board. We look forward to fresh ideas, committed voices and shared visions for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Symposium on the Dialogue Process<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n On 19 April 2026, we held a symposium entitled \u201cRethinking the Process for Peace and a Democratic Society in its Second Year\u201d. Speakers included Prof. Mithat Sancar, Foza Yusuf, Dr \u00d6zg\u00fcr Sevgi G\u00f6ral, Assoc. Prof. Adnan \u00c7elik and Mahmut \u015eakar. The proceedings will be published shortly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Background paper on the 1996 Memorandum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have drawn up a background paper on the continuity of dialogue and peace initiatives regarding the Kurdish question. In addition to a historical overview, it contains an analysis of previous processes and political<\/p>\n\n\n\n recommendations for action for Germany and the European Union. We have sent this to all Members of the Bundestag, foundations and civil society organisations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Closed-door meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Productive discussions, valuable insights, an intensive exchange of views and concrete planning characterised our closed-door meeting on Saturday the 6th of June, entitled \u2018National Unity of the Kurds: academic perspectives, social responsibility and European networking\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kurdish Language Day <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On 15 May 2026, we took part in the panel discussion organised by the Kurdish Institute in Germany to mark Kurdish Language Day. Our conclusion: despite enormous challenges, significant achievements have been made in relation to the Kurdish language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Global Academic Network for the Universities of Rojava <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On 15 May 2026, we took part in the meeting of the Global Academic Network for the Universities of Rojava.
