Board meeting
The meetings took place on November 1 and December 18.
2nd Conference of Kurdish Doctors and allied professions
This conference was held on October 15 in Cologne. Topics were Covid-19 Update, health and diaspora, gender medicine and heart diseases. A heart catheterisation from Rojava was broadcast live.
Physicians meetings in the context of chemical weapons and Prof. Şebnem Korur-Fincancı
Since the records of Kurdish fighters have been published our physicians held meetings in cooperation with KCDK-E health committee’s physicians every two weeks. Numerous statements from doctors’ organisations, medical associations and trade unions have been initiated. Talks with political officials have also been on the agenda. A postcard campaign for Prof. Korur-Fincancı is underway.
Chemical weapons and the systematic of warfare in Kurdistan
On November 8 we held an online panel debate in cooperation with Civaka Azad. Dr. Beppe Savary-Borioli, Dr. Jan van Aken and our co-chair were speakers.
Cooperation with the Aachen Peace Prize
On December 20 an online panel debate entitled ‘Turkey and the case of Prof. Şebnem Korur-Fincancı: Human Rights behind bars’ took place. Eren Keskin, Prof. Frank Ulrich Montgomery and our co-chair were speakers.

Science Café
Our new event format: Kurd-Akad Science Café – Science meets practice: from controversies to solutions. We discuss big issues in small groups. Different views meet. Exciting debates arise. Approaches to solutions are generated.
The first event took place on October 25. Together with Kurdish politician Adem Uzun and political scientist Dr. Veysi Dağ we discussed about “The Kurdish Community outside Kurdistan: Diaspora – Problem vs. Perspective”.
Network meeting of Kurdish institutes and academic organisations
The 4th Pan-european network meeting of Kurdish institutes and academic organisations was held on December 11.
Funding programme for the publication of the dissertation
