Executive board 

Board meetings

The board meeting took place on 18 July 2023. 

Symposium Gender Studies meets Jîneolojî 

On 22 September 2023, the third symposium in cooperation with the Cornelia Goethe Center of the Goethe University Frankfurt, the Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences and the Center for Gender Studies of the University of Innsbruck took place at the University of Frankfurt a.M.. This year’s thematic focus was health. 

Doctors’ working group 

This group met twice during the summer months. On the agenda was the third conference of Kurdish doctors and allied professions on 21 October 2023 in Cologne. The group also worked on an interdisciplinary project that we will make public at a later date. 

Psychologists & Psychotherapists Working Group 

This working group also met twice this quarter. Now, regular meetings are planned. The focus of the group for the coming period will also be the interdisciplinary project.

Lausanne Conference 

An online event on this topic was also held this year. Prof. Ass. Nilay Özok-Gündoğan from Florida State University and former HDP MP Hişyar Özsoy spoke on the history, present and future in the context of 100 years of the treaty. 

Representatives of our network also participated in the conference on 22 & 23 September 2023 in Lausanne. 

Social media 

Again this year, during the summer break for Tea Time Live Talks on Instagram, there was a series of interviews on current developments around Kurdistan.
