As part of Kurd-Akad 2.0 – Time for Renewal, we held a workshop with students: advancing issues, acting in a contemporary manner, and shaping the future together. Many thanks also to the Community of Kurdish University Groups for participating.

Meeting with active members

There is agreement that Kurd-Akad is indispensable. The task now is to expand the circle of active members.

Scientific Advisory Board

Together with our Scientific Advisory Board, we have evaluated our work to date and developed action strategies for future engagement.

Peace and a democratic society

With a series of panel debates entitled ‘Women’s Perspective on Peace: Challenges and Opportunities,’ we are placing women and their perspectives at the centre of the debates in the dialogue process.

At the 7th Pan-European Networking Meeting of Kurdish Institutes & Academic Organisations in September, we established a coordination group. We look forward to long-term cooperation with Maf-Dad, the Kurdish Institute of Germany and YEK.

In cooperation with the Information Centre on Anti-Kurdish Racism, the German Centre for Integration and Migration Research (InZentIM), the Diversity Support Centre and the Faculty of Education at the University of Duisburg-Essen, we held a symposium entitled ‘Grey Wolves – Ideology, Networks & Action Strategies’ on 29 November 2025.

Annual report on anti-Kurdish racism

The Information Centre on Anti-Kurdish Racism in Germany has published its 2024 annual report. We also attended the presentation in the German Bundestag. The report fills an important gap in the context of the Kurdish community in Germany.
